If you’ve taken the “tour” with us before, you may notice that I’m new to the lineup! I’m in awe of the ladies I’m keeping company with, let me tell ya!! No pressure! LOL
I have three cards to share with you today, each featuring the Guy Greetings stamp set that you’ll find in the Occasions Catalog– I do NOT want to see this go away. Awesome masculine sets are SO few and far between, and Stampin’ Up! just slap out-did themselves with this one! (Did I really just say “slap out”? Wow! You can take the girl out of the South…. Here’s a better phrase to help explain its meaning if you didn’t know: “Shopping all day just wore me slap out!” HAHA)
Anyway… moving along… HAHA– see what I did there? 😉 Like I said, I made three cards, and I’m posting them in the order I did them AND in increasing simplicity.
First up, I went pretty literal with the “Get Movin'” theme and used the classic car image from the stamp set! Beep Beep! Lots of layers coming through! 🙂 I got the idea from a layout I saw on Pinterest. I used stamps from the Work of Art stamp set to create the background for the layers. No need to be perfect, and I did a lot of “stamping off” to make sure the colors didn’t overpower my main image.
The Inky Deets:

Paper: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo, Baked Brown Sugar (get it before it’s gone June 2!!)
Accessories & Tools: Gold Baker’s Twine, Gold Metallic Basic Buttons, Stampin’ Trimmer, Craft Scissors (mine are used exclusively for cutting ribbon/twine!), Snail Adhesive, Glue Dots
The second card I made (also inspired by a layout on Pinterest) uses the wingtips image. Get on your feet and move with style!! The sentiment fits in with the broader theme– this card could go to someone who is moving away, moving on to a different job/position, or retiring!

Lastly, two simple cards pretty much CASEd from pg. 40 of the Occasions Catalog, just using a different color scheme. The anchor makes me think of a big ship (though I suppose with the anchor down, it doesn’t move so much! LOL) and the brave men and women of the United States Navy. Boy, do they move around a lot! 🙂 I love this sentiment for my DBF (dear boyfriend), but as a retired Airman (USAF), I’m thinking he may balk a bit at the anchor LOL
I couldn’t decide which one to use, so I just made both since it was SO quick and easy! 🙂 Which one do you like best?? Left or Right? Leave a comment!
