January RemARKably Creative Blog Tour-Sending Love

teamblogtourmain

Happy New Year! I’m back in the blog lineup this month (part of my resolutions for 2017 πŸ™‚ craft more!!)

This month, our theme is “Sending Love.” You’ll likely see a lot of samples from the bundle in the Occasions Catalog by that name, but since that one hasn’t made its way to me yet, I’m opting for cards that convey love πŸ™‚ Both use the Dragonfly Dreams bundle.

First up is a card for a friend who got married yesterday. I actually snipped one of the dragonflies out of my die cut because they are now a family of 4! (Mom and 2 kids married a guy who loves them all so much!) The sentiment is actually from Oh So Succulent stamp set (also a must-see in the Occasions Catalog)!

20170115_130727

My second project is a Valentine card. This card features the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. First I stamped the little bee in Crushed Curry, tone on tone. Then I ran the paper in the embossing folder through my Big Shot.

20170115_130634

Then I cut out a bee in Basic Black and a banner in Whisper White from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits. I stamped “BEE MINE” with the Labeler Alphabet, and folded up the creases made by the die cut to give some dimension (I only did this on one end; the other end I put a dimensional under so that the ends were balanced but that end supports the circle). I punched out a 1-1/4″ circle and a heart from the Owl Builder punch. A little Fine Tip Glue pen on the bee and done!

I hope you’ve enjoyed what I had for you today! πŸ™‚ Hop on over to Audra to see what she has!

Help Wanted! Inquire Within

Hello, Cyberspace! πŸ™‚

I am trying REALLLLLY hard to reach a goal by the end of the month, and so I’m taking to my blog to see if I can get some help! πŸ™‚

I am SUPER SUPER SUPER close to reaching a promotion with Stampin’ Up!– the only thing I lack is someone to sign under me! πŸ™‚

Here are the details:

$99 (+ tax) starter kit cost
FREE SHIPPING ($10 savings)
$125 products of your choice (so that’s a 25% discount)
COMPLETELY CUSTOMIZABLE (“You CAN always get what you wa-ant!”)
FREE Paper Pumpkin kit (another $20 value)
Business supplies (catalogs, etc., to do with as you wish)
NO OBLIGATION TO EVER SELL OR BUY ANYTHING AGAIN!! πŸ˜€
(See the end of the post for 14 reasons WHY you should join me!)

Because the kit is completely customizable, you can put together whatever you want. But if you’re new to stamping and paper crafting, you’ll want to make sure you get everything you need to complete several projects, right?! Well… I’ve gone through the catalog and chosen projects whose supplies (with some extras! πŸ™‚ )Β will easily fit in the $125 allowance. These feature some of my favorite stamp sets/bundles. Please note that there are NO Big Shot items (Thinlits, Framelits, embossing folders) in these bundles, which you don’t need (but you’ll want later πŸ˜‰ ), but there may be some used in one or two of the projects (typically just layering or some dry embossing). Also, you would need a paper trimmer of some kind (Stampin’ Up! has the best, but any will do πŸ˜‰ ) and some Paper Snips (some of the bundles I put together included it, but some don’t) You do NOT need to select these exactly as shown! You can do whatever you like! πŸ™‚

Here we go!

teamblogtourmain

Welcome to the September RemARKably Creative Blog Tour! This month we’re focusing on Halloween and Fall.

You probably hopped her from Anne‘s post, but if you get lost, the entire lineup is at the bottom!

I’m sorry I missed last month… My mojo has been on the fritz 😦 But it’s slowly coming back!

Both of my projects this month use the Mr. Funny Bones stamp set in the Holiday Catalog! So fun!!

First up is a card using the Halloween Nights DSP, my Whisper White Craft ink pad, and the new Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper! I wish I had the Cookie Cutter Builder punch (I know! How have I not gotten it yet?!) because I’d punch out the bowtie in Pumpkin Pie glimmer as well… he’d really be puttin’ on the ritz, then! πŸ™‚

Next up is a card using the sugar skull in the set. I just stamped it over and over and colored just one of them. It’s always good to stand out a crowd! πŸ™‚ I used Crazy About You and Thoughtful Banners to make the sentiment. I also used some enamel shapes and Wink of Stella.

July RemARKable Blog Tour

teamblogtourincon

Welcome to the RemARKably CreativeΒ Blog Tour for July! We have some new hoppers, so welcome to them!! πŸ™‚

This month, we’re featuring new stuff, and you’re probably seeing a lot of the Thoughtful Branches bundle, a bundle that will be available exclusively August 2-31 (while supplies last)! I also opted to feature this bundle πŸ™‚ I will be showing you these in the opposite order I created them LOL

First up is a traditional tree card. I was inspired by last year’s holiday catalog’s Winter Wonderland suite of products, butΒ I of course used new, current stuff πŸ™‚ I layered a piece of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate over Very Vanilla cardstock. The tree is stamped in Always Artichoke and Early Espresso and cut out with the Layering Ovals Framelits.

The next card was inspired by an ad I saw on Facebook LOL It was for a BellabeatΒ health monitoring bracelet.

leafbraceletI cut out a leaf, covered it in Versamark, then embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. I then cut out 3 more in Early Espresso and glued them together with the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

IMG_20160716_185742

The last card is my favorite! πŸ™‚ I cut out the big tree leaves in vellum, and a Pear Pizzazz stem (with the leaves cut off). I layered it on some Serene Scenery DSP with other dandelions. I bent the vellum a little bit so that it puffed out and used 2 glue dots to adhere it. I cut out 3 “wish”es in Soft Sky and 1 in Gold Foil, and layered them with the Fine Tip Glue Pen! πŸ™‚ Doesn’t it just look like you can pick it and blow the dandelion?!

June RemARKables Blog Tour — It’s Here!!

Welcome to the June Remarkable Blog Tour where we are featuring the BRAND NEW catalog!! Isn’t it just the bee’s knees?!

You probably got here from Anne‘s, but if you get lost, all the links are at the bottom! πŸ™‚

My brown box with the smallest possible order ever (new In Color Ink Pads, sample pack of In Color cardstock, and the Bunch of Blossoms bundle featured here) arrived AFTER 5:30 today!! PLUS, I haven’t seen ANY samples made with this, so I had to draw on my own artistic wit πŸ™‚ But, I’m happy with how they turned out. I made a series of 4″ x 4″ cards.

First up, is a traditional use of the set. Flowers! Also featured are Sweet Sugarplum and Emerald Envy. I also used the Timeless Textures set to add a little more depth.

IMG_20160609_193640

Next up, is a card featuringΒ the second thing I “saw” when I saw this set– little bitty starfish! πŸ™‚ I used Peekaboo Peach and Dapper Denim. The “water” is the chevron stamp from Work of Art.

IMG_20160609_193627

My last card I’m sharing is actually the first card I made, drawing from the first non-flower thing I “saw” when I looked at this set! Maybe it’s because it’s how the stamps are printed on the front cover, but I saw the upside down petal as a little ballerina tutu!! I used Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride, and Flirty Flamingo to make her little dress–covered in Wink of Stella, of course! I love that it kind of adds an organza-like overlay look to it. I bowed the petal around so that it’s poofed out πŸ™‚Β  I thought this would be cute to give a girl for her ballet recital. The sentiment is from Suite Sayings. And again, I used Timeless Textures to give it some more dimension (think the swirly pattern a ballerina makes as she dances πŸ™‚ ). The Classy Designer button is the back of her head!

May RemARKables Blog Tour–Goodbyes Are Hard

Welcome to the RemARKables May Blog Tour. This month we’re focusing on retiring products that we don’t want to say goodbye to πŸ˜₯

You probably hopped here from Tracie, but if you get lost, all the links are at the bottom! πŸ™‚

My first project uses a lot of retiring products: Beautiful Bunch stamp set, Pretty Petals DSP stack, 1″ square punch, Fun Flower punch, Pacific Point Striped Satin ribbon, and Botanical Garden Jewels.

I have to admit that I wasn’t crazy about the color combination in this DSP stack when it first came out, but it definitely grew on me! πŸ™‚Β  My Calypso Coral squares are 1-1/8″. I also used my Blender Pen to smoosh out the linesΒ a little bit.

IMG_20160512_192753

My next project uses a retiring set that I will not be letting go of! πŸ˜‰ Zoo Babies! How could they? πŸ˜₯ I also used another favorite, Dotty Angles as well as the Ornate Tag Topper punch and A Dozen Thoughts stamp set. First, I cut my scrap colorΒ cardstock to 2″ wide and punched it out. Then, I cut my white to 1-7/8″ wide. I did my stamping first THEN I cropped the bottom, adhered it to the color cardstock, then cut that… was easier than trying to figure out measurements beforehand πŸ™‚ I also used 2 retiring ribbons that are DISCOUNTED (while supplies last!), Pink PirouetteΒ Seam Binding and Pear Pizzazz Cotton.

I was going to do another project, but I’ve been a bit under the weather this week 😦 Rain, rain, go away!! (today marks 16 straight days… my ark’s almost finished…)

Hop along to see what Audra has for you!

RemARKables April Blog Tour

Welcome to the RemARKables April Blog Tour! You probably hopped here from Anne‘s blog, but if you get lost, all the links are at the bottom.

Happy Spring! Sort of…. I think we always forget that spring isn’t supposed to be warm all the time, but man! Mother Nature doesn’t know what’s up and what’s down these days! Oh well… on to some things that make it feel like spring inside πŸ™‚

Are you loving the Botanical Blooms and matching framelits?!?! I think everyone is in agreement that they hope it carries over to the new catalog (some of the demonstrators are getting to see it this weekend, and everyone else gets to see it next week! Just one of the many perks πŸ˜‰ )

I just wanted to share a couple of cute projects with you today. Our fearless leader, Janet Wakeland (one of the demonstrators out in Salt Lake at OnStage getting to see the new catty!) hosts a semi-annual retreat, which was this past weekend, and I was able to go. I always try to make little treats for my roommates/tablemates because we don’t live nearby, and I only get to see them at the retreat (or on Facebook LOL). And I just want to show them I love them πŸ™‚

I was roaming around Pier 1 Imports a few weeks ago and found some little goodies and some cute organza bags and I knew those would be just perfect! So I made some little tags to go on them, and of course, Β each tag had to match the colors of the tissues that were packaged inside πŸ™‚

Here’s the package contents:

I don’t normally like to blog thing that I’ve CASEd (copied and selectively edited), but here’s a quick card using the Botanical Builder Framelits I found on Pinterest somewhere (I changed up the colors to suit the recipient).

And another card I CASEd for a friend’s bridal shower a couple of weeks ago:

I hope you’re enjoying your hopping tonight and that you find some inspiration!! πŸ™‚ Β Off to Audra‘s blog!

RemARKables March Blog Tour

Welcome to the March RemARKables Blog Tour!!

You probably hopped here from Anne‘s blog, but in case you get lost, all the links are at the bottom!

What a difference a month makes, huh?! Freezing cold to absolutely gorgeous outside πŸ™‚ That was my inspiration for today’s cards!

I suppose it depends on what you pair it with, but Mint Macaron reminds me of a cool spring breeze… I love this piece of paper from the Birthday Bouquet DSP with the balloons on it! So I just made a 3-D version of the paper to “float” on the card using a Honeycomb Embellishment, a bow from the Balloon Celebration Framelits in Blushing Bride Glimmer paper, White Baker’s twine, and set off by the beautiful Watermelon Wonder satin ribbon!

balloon

The next card uses one of the FREE Sale-a-Bration sets!! Super cute, and the first time I’ve played with it (I’d intended to play with it with the card above, but then it just wound up being a no-stamp card HAHA). I pulled out 2 colors I don’t use that often (was hard pressed to find some scraps to cut out the “happy” with!), Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. I stamped the little chick with my Memento black ink pad on some watercolor paper, and used my Blender Pen to color him in with So Saffron ink. The paper didn’t hold up as well as I thought, but that’s okay–chicks are supposed to be fuzzy!! LOL) I then used the Crazy About You bundle to top it off with a Happy Spring… I could’ve gone Easter, I know, but it was just so dang nice when I was coming home today that I was feeling springy! πŸ™‚

Here is a close-up of the layered 2 happys (very easy with the Fine Tip Glue Pen!!).

Hope you’ve enjoyed what I had for you today! Enjoy the rest of the blog tour and the rest of your Sale-A-Bration!!

Hop on over to Ann‘s blog (and again, if you’re hopping around or lost, all the links are below).

A Dino-riffic Birthday!

This week is my first-born nephew’s 4th birthday! IΒ just can’t believe that this little guy (about 12 hours old):

jaydenbaby

Is now THIS little man (Christmastime, a little more than 2 months before his birthday)! πŸ™‚

jayden4

I do love spoiling “my” kiddos πŸ™‚ (if you haven’t seen it, check this post out)

I got the No Bones About It set just to use for my nephews, so I put it to good use. So, his birthday card had to be just as special as he is! Β So I made one that he can play with. It’s a “View Master” card. I got the idea here, and some instructions here. Here’s a few tips that neither of those ladies had: the 4″ in. circle is the largest of the Circles Collection Framelits (no scallops); and after you get the circle in place (as Dawn shows in her video), use that window to draw circles with a pencil to put your images in. (I tried doing it the other way around, and it didn’t work LOL thankfully before I stamped!!). I used the Large Numbers Framelits and the Little Numbers Thinlits to create the rest of the card. I am so pleased! He’s going to love it! πŸ™‚

Here are the rest of the images:

I hope you enjoyed seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it!

I wrote a little note telling him I wished I could be there to celebrate but that I was sending lots of love and hugs (with a reminder to share some of those with Little Miss, my nickname for his little sister) πŸ™‚

Auntie loves you, J!!!
