Have you ever woken up with a crafting idea in your head that you just HAD to do? Well that happened to me one morning this past May. I had been playing over the long Memorial Day weekend, so I guess I was in the mode, but no lie, this project was in my head when my eyes popped open! I feel like a real artist when that happens LOL
I had the image of Andy Warhol’s John Lennon piece stuck in my head, and I knew I wanted to recreate it using the new Ronald McDonald set, Sprinkles of Life (p.s. I will be sad to see this one go as they only stick around for one year 😦 it just got here and I’m already sad about that LOL ). So here’s John in all his Warhol-ed-ness:
And then here’s my version using Sprinkles of Life! (this is an 8″ x 8″ frame, for reference 🙂 so each square is 2″ x 2″). I wound up switching some of the squares around a little bit, but you can see that I used a very similar color scheme, just in SU! colors 🙂
I hope you enjoyed my art piece for today! 🙂 (I was just looking at it, and I was like “I should post this on my blog!” even though I made it months ago 🙂 )
